Signs of an infestation
Cockroaches are nocturnal, so by the time you are seeing them during the day the population is already established. Look for:
- Droppings that look like ground pepper or coffee grounds along cabinet edges, inside drawers and behind the fridge.
- A musty, oily smell in the kitchen that does not go with cleaning — it comes from the pheromone in their droppings.
- Egg cases (ootheca) — small brown capsules glued into corners, under the sink and behind appliances.
- Shed skins near warm appliance motors — the back of the fridge, the microwave, the water purifier.
- Daytime sightings. A roach out in the light usually means the harbourage is overcrowded.
Our treatment method
German cockroaches are the common kitchen species in both cities, and they are the reason we lead with gel rather than spray. A spray scatters a colony into wall voids and adjoining flats; gel is carried back and passed through the population, which is what actually ends it.
- Inspection and species ID We find the harbourages and identify the species — german, american or brown-banded roaches each need a different placement strategy.
- Gel baiting at the harbourage Small gel spots go into hinges, cabinet joints, appliance housings and cracks — where roaches feed and shelter, not on open surfaces where you would touch them.
- Targeted residual spray, only where needed Applied to service voids, drain surrounds and entry routes when the inspection calls for it. Never a blanket spray of the whole kitchen.
- Crack and crevice sealing advice We point out the gaps that keep letting them back in — pipe entries, loose skirting, gaps behind the platform.
- Follow-up at 15 days for heavy infestations Where the first inspection shows a heavy german roach population, the follow-up is planned in from the start and quoted with the job.
Safety
We use government-approved (CIB&RC registered), low-toxicity chemicals applied at label-recommended doses, which are safe for families when our safety guidance is followed.
Keep children and pets away during the application and for 2–3 hours after treatment. Cover aquariums and switch off their air pumps. Ventilate treated rooms before using them again. Gel is placed out of reach inside cracks and hinges, so a gel-only job needs no evacuation at all — your technician will confirm the exact wait time for the products used on your job.
How long it takes
A kitchen-only treatment is usually finished in under an hour. A full 2–3 BHK takes 60–90 minutes because every cabinet run, appliance housing and bathroom void is treated individually.
Results follow a predictable curve: dead roaches within 24–48 hours, a clear drop in sightings inside the first week, and full control at around 10–14 days. Activity can look briefly worse on day one as roaches leave harbourage to feed on the bait — that is the treatment working, not failing.
Warranty
Cockroach control carries a 6-month service warranty. If roaches return to the treated area inside that period we re-treat free — no call-out fee, no material charge. The warranty covers the pest and the area named on your service report, and assumes the preparation and follow-up advice on that report was followed.

Cockroach control FAQ
Not for gel treatment. The gel goes into cracks, hinges and the back edges of cabinets, so you only need to clear the lower shelves we will be working on and cover any exposed food. If your job needs a spray as well, the technician will tell you which rooms to clear when the visit is confirmed.
You will usually see dead roaches within 24 to 48 hours and a clear drop in sightings inside the first week. Gel works through the colony rather than on contact, so activity often looks briefly worse on day one as roaches come out to feed. Full control typically takes 10 to 14 days.
For a heavy german cockroach infestation a follow-up within 15 days is usually required, and where the inspection identifies that up front it is quoted as part of the job rather than added later. Outside that, any re-treatment inside the 6-month warranty is free.
