Signs of a Cockroach Problem

Cockroaches feed at night and stay hidden, so a few seen during the day usually means a larger group nearby.

• Droppings like ground pepper along drawer backs, cupboard hinges and behind the kitchen platform.
• A stale, oily smell in a closed kitchen or under the sink — a sign of an established population.
• Egg cases (oothecae), small brown capsules glued behind the fridge motor or under the gas stove.
• Smear marks on damp surfaces, and shed skins near water lines.
• Movement when you switch on the light at night, around the sink and dustbin.

In Bengaluru flats the small German cockroach is the usual culprit, spreading between units through common plumbing and ducting. The larger American cockroach comes up from drains, and is more common in ground-floor and older homes.

Our Treatment Process

Gel baiting is our main method, with a residual spray where needed. Baiting is slower than a heavy spray, but reaches harbourages you cannot see.

1. Inspection. The technician checks the kitchen platform, sink area, cupboard hinges, appliance backs and damp corners to find where the cockroaches are harbouring.
2. Gel baiting. Bait gel goes into cracks and hinges near those harbourages, out of reach of children and pets. Cockroaches feed and carry it back to the group, reaching the ones you never see.
3. Residual spray where required. For heavier infestations or drain-borne American cockroaches, we spray skirting, drain mouths and entry points. Gel alone is often enough in a clean kitchen.
4. Crack and crevice sealing advice. We point out the gaps letting them in — around pipework, behind cabinets, at the drain trap — so you can close them.
5. Follow-up. We check back to see how activity has changed, and re-treat within the warranty period if needed.

Chemicals We Use

Every product we apply is registered with the Central Insecticides Board & Registration Committee (CIB&RC) and used at label-recommended doses. Bait gels go in small, concealed placements, which keeps exposure low in a working kitchen.

Service Warranty

Cockroach control carries a 6-month service warranty. If activity returns within that period, we re-treat at no additional charge. It covers the areas we treated and assumes the after-treatment guidance below has been followed. A kitchen re-infested from an untreated neighbouring flat is a different problem, and we will say so plainly.

How to Prepare Your Home

• Clear the lower kitchen shelves and the area under the sink.
• Move loose food into sealed containers, and cover anything left on the counter.
• Wipe away grease and food debris — cockroaches will ignore bait if easier food is available.
• Pull the fridge away from the wall if you can do so safely.
• Plan for children and pets to be out of the treated rooms during the visit and for 2-3 hours afterwards.
• Put pet food and water bowls away, and cover aquariums.

After-Treatment Care

• Do not mop or wipe treated areas for a week. It removes the residual layer and the bait placements.
• Expect more cockroaches for a few days. Baiting draws them out before it reduces the population — that is it working, not failing.
• Leave the gel spots alone. They are placed deliberately.
• Keep the kitchen dry overnight — empty the sink, fix dripping taps and take the bin out.
• Tell us if activity has not dropped after two weeks and we will follow up.
