What Termite Activity Looks Like

Subterranean termites never expose themselves, so you are looking for what they build and what they leave.

• Narrow mud shelter tubes climbing a compound wall, plinth or pillar face.
• A hollow note when you tap a door frame, skirting board or window architrave.
• Paint that has bubbled or rippled in a patch, with activity sitting behind the plaster.
• Heaps of shed wings beneath tube lights and on window ledges after the first monsoon showers.
• Soil packed into joints of wardrobes, kitchen units and skirting set against an external wall.

Deccan plateau soils drain fast and stay warm, and colonies swarm heavily once the first rains land. Older timber-framed properties in Secunderabad and the Old City carry most risk, but the build-out towards Kokapet, Tellapur and Gachibowli is where pre-construction treatment pays, being the one chance to treat the full footprint.

Our Treatment Process

The method depends on whether the slab is already down. Both approaches do the same thing: put a treated layer between the soil and the structure.

1. Inspection and written quote. We measure the runs at risk, identify the entry paths and price on running metres rather than a flat figure.
2. Pre-construction soil treatment. On an active site, termiticide goes into the foundation trench, the fill before the slab is poured and the plinth line, producing a treated layer under the finished floor.
3. Drilling. In a completed building, holes are put in at roughly 12-inch centres along the wall-floor junction and around frames and pillars.
4. Pressure filling. Emulsion is injected into each hole until the soil beneath is charged, so the treated line is continuous rather than a row of spots.
5. Sealing and timber work. Holes are closed and finished flush. Affected wooden fixtures are injected separately at the joints.

Chemicals We Use

Termiticides are registered with the Central Insecticides Board & Registration Committee (CIB&RC) and diluted to label concentration. Everything goes into soil and drilled holes below floor level, not onto surfaces you live on.

Pricing: After Inspection

This is not a per-BHK service. The figure depends on running metres of junction drilled, how many frames and pillars are involved, and whether timber needs separate injection.

We inspect and quote in writing before drilling, free and without obligation. On pre-construction work the quote follows plinth area and build stage, so getting us in before the slab is poured is cheaper and more thorough.

Service Warranty

Post-construction treatment carries a warranty of up to 5 years, the precise term written into your quotation. We re-treat affected stretches free within it. Anything cutting the barrier — re-flooring, excavation against a wall — affects cover, so tell us before that work is scheduled.

On the Day

• Clear roughly two feet of working space along the walls being treated.
• Pull furniture off the skirting and empty wardrobes standing against outer walls.
• Expect noise and dust from the drilling; we sheet up and clean as we go.
• Roll back rugs and lift breakables off low shelves on the treated runs.
• Keep children and pets out of treated rooms during the work and for 2-3 hours afterwards.
• Flag any underfloor plumbing or electrical conduit you know about before we drill.

After-Treatment Care

• Leave the sealed points untouched for a week while the finish cures.
• Do not drill or re-floor along the treated line without telling us — it breaks the barrier and affects the warranty.
• Swarmers may still show up for a week or two as a disturbed colony moves. That is expected, not a failure.
• Go easy on washing the treated junction for a few days.
• Report any fresh mud tube, however small, and we will inspect it under warranty.
