Spotting a Cockroach Problem Early

Cockroaches are nocturnal, so the first evidence is usually something you find, not something you see.

• Gritty black specks in cupboard corners, chimney housings and drawer runner grooves.
• An oily, musty odour that lingers in a shut kitchen even after cleaning.
• Brown capsule-shaped egg cases behind the fridge compressor or inside the sink cabinet.
• Chewed packaging and grazing marks on cardboard and onion skins in storage baskets.
• Roaches near the drain at first light, which points to them coming up rather than living in the kitchen.

Two species dominate here. German cockroaches stay indoors and spread between flats through shared risers, common in the gated developments around Gachibowli, Kondapur and Kukatpally. American cockroaches live in drains and surface after heavy rain, which is why ground-floor homes in Secunderabad and the Old City see them most in monsoon.

Our Treatment Process

Baiting is the core of the treatment because it works through the group, not just the roaches present. A spray is added when pressure is coming from outside the flat.

1. Survey. The technician traces the activity — drain mouths, sink cabinet, chimney duct, appliance backs — and works out whether the source is inside the flat or entering from a shaft.
2. Bait placement. Pinhead spots of gel go into hinges, grooves and cavities near the harbourage, tucked out of sight and out of reach.
3. Drain and perimeter spray. Where American cockroaches come up from below, drain mouths, the utility area and balcony perimeter get a residual application. A tidy kitchen with German roaches often needs no spray.
4. Exclusion pointers. Loose drain covers, unsealed pipe collars and gaps at the chimney duct are the usual entry routes; we show you which matter.
5. Review visit. We come back to see whether activity has dropped, and re-treat inside the warranty period if it has not.

Chemicals We Use

Everything we apply carries Central Insecticides Board & Registration Committee (CIB&RC) registration and is used at the label dose. Gel goes down in small hidden placements rather than across worktops, keeping the kitchen usable the same evening.

Service Warranty

Cockroach work carries a 6-month service warranty. If activity picks up inside that window we return and re-treat at no charge. Cover applies to the areas we treated; where a flat is being re-stocked from an untreated neighbour or a building drain, we will tell you rather than keep re-spraying the same kitchen.

Getting the Kitchen Ready

• Empty the lower shelves and sink cabinet so the cavities are reachable.
• Shift loose grains, pulses and snacks into closed containers.
• Degrease the platform and chimney filter — bait competes badly with cooking oil.
• Ease the fridge and washing machine off the wall if safe.
• Lift dustbins and pet bowls off the floor for the visit.
• Keep children and pets out of treated rooms during the work and for 2-3 hours after.

After-Treatment Care

• Skip the weekly deep clean for seven days. Scrubbing cupboard interiors lifts both the gel and the residual film.
• More roaches in the open is normal at first. Bait pulls them out of hiding before numbers fall.
• Do not scrape off the gel dots. They are placed on purpose and keep working for weeks.
• Shut the kitchen down dry at night — drain the sink, close the bin. Moisture sustains them longer than crumbs.
